Children's Ministry Spotlight- Rachel Klein
We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.
Rachel Klein is a 10th grader with a heart for Jesus. She and her family have attended WCC for more than 3 years. While also being active in the SWITCH Student Ministry, Rachel volunteers her time and energy in our children's ministry, serving a helpful role as a teaching assistant in our 3 year old, 4-5 year old, and Children's Worship services during the 11am hour.
Rachel has a heart for young children and loves to participate in helping them have fun and learn about Jesus. As a youth herself, Rachel is seen as an older sister by many of the children at WCC, and many are excited about having "Miss Rachel" there to play with.
Youth developing into leaders is a unique opportunity in our children's ministry, a chance where our very own teenagers may pour into the lives of other children a few years younger than themselves. Rachel sees her role as learning to love kids just as she has been loved by Jesus.
One impressive thing about Rachel is her consistency in serving. While many of her peers in our youth ministry have graciously spent time serving and developing their leadership skills through the children's ministry, Rachel is a girl that seeks out opportunities to teach, love, and care for those who are younger than herself, as well as always being responsible and on time on the days in which she serves.
Rachel is an outstanding leader, young woman, and representative of Willow Creek Church. We are so thankful for her care for our youngest children, and how she translates that into our youth ministry, her school, and her community. Thank you Rachel Klein for your faithful service to our youth ministry.
