Children's Ministry Spotlight: Liz Howe
We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.
Liz Howe serves in one of the most challenging areas of our children's ministry at Willow Creek, our combined 3-5 year olds at 8:30am. I say that this class is challenging simply because it is EARLY in the morning, and Liz must instantly come in with lots of energy. Twice a month, Liz brings that energy, and alongside Duane More and AJ Way, the 3 of them love on our youngest children, teaching them who Jesus is and how much He loves them.
Liz has one of the most warm personalities that I have ever been around. As one who spends her days working for an Independent Living company concerned with those with disabilities, Liz is always caring for those in need. Her caring goes beyond her career, into her personal life, as Liz raises her daughter Precious Patton in the SWITCH youth ministry of our church.
As a 3-5 year old teacher, the main thing we love about Liz is her willingness to sit on the floor and play with our children. Sometimes, a new 3 year old has a tough time adjusting to a new classroom. Thankfully, Liz and all of our children's ministry team provide a safe, welcoming environment for our children to be a part of.
Liz Howe is a phenomenal individual and a phenomenal teacher. We are thankful for what Jesus Christ has done in her life, and how she has impacted so many others. Thank you Liz for your faithful service to our church family!
