WCC Children's Ministry Spotlight: Alan & Paula Henderson
We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.
Alan & Paula Henderson epitomize what Willow Creek Church is all about. They know they are loved by God, they serve others out of that love, and they ask to be used in whatever capacity they are needed. For the past 5 years, the Henderson's have been an intregal part of WCC.
Alan & Paula do a phenomenal job of team-teaching our children during children's worship. When they first started serving, Alan would spend much of his week looking around for the perfect visual aid that would coincide with his lesson. Additionally, Paula would creatively construct the right teaching points to help our children understand the truth's of God's word in a clear/concise manner.
In addition to children's ministry, you've probably seen these two around the church and community. Alan serves a member of the "Walking Tall" security team and leads several Bible studies, while Paula teaches a Bible study and organizes a fruit & veggie community co-op called "Fresh for Less Organics," which includes many of our church family.
These two have a wonderful marriage, several great kids and grand-kids. They have been to my home several times and are always a joy to be around. We are so thankful for the kindness and service of Alan & Paula Henderson, and we are thankful for the way they love our kids, care for our kids, and teach our kids about God's great love for them. Thank you Henderson clan! You are loved.
