A Note from Pastor Kevin - August 2019

Late last month, Molly, the kids, Cali (our Golden Retriever), and I enjoyed a restful vacation with family back in Pennsylvania and New York. It was especially restful due to the pulpit ministries of Pastor Drew Taylor and Joe Lucero, our Director of Student Ministries, as well as the ongoing ministries of our staff members and church leaders. Molly and I kept apprised of things back here, but knowing Willow Creek could not be in better hands - the Lord’s and those of his ministry team!

This month, students begin returning to school. With that in mind, we’ll be praying for students and educators during worship on Sunday, August 11th, along with receiving some of our newest members. Join us as we pray for Willow Creek Preschool and Willow Creek Home Educators, as well as our home, private, and public school students, teachers, administrators, and staff.

Please keep in mind that the fall session of Wednesdays at Willow (W@W) begins on August 21st. Running 10-consecutive weeks, W@W features gatherings for all ages. In addition to Ignite for children and Switch for middle school students, we have six gatherings for adults. You can read about all of them here. Also, watch for our W@W insert in the August worship bulletins.

Don't forget about the many great things we have coming up - our Fall Kick-Off Luncheon, Women's Bunko Night, Women’s Escapade, and more! You can learn about all of them here on our website.

Sincerely yours,

Rev. Kevin Labby, Senior Pastor
Willow Creek Presbyterian Church
