A Note from Pastor Kevin - July 2019
As we enter the especially hot and humid "dog days" of summer, I want to thank you for your continued partnership in the gospel. Your faithfulness to "gather big" in worship, "gather small" in small groups and Bible studies, serve, and give throughout the year keeps all phases of our ministry going strong. Thank you.
Fresh back from their week of ministry with Common Ground Montgomery, we'll enjoy the preaching of Joe Lucero, our Director of Student Ministries, on July 21 and Drew Taylor, our Pastor of Families and Connections, on July 28. I'm thankful for the "deep bench" at Willow Creek. God's blessed us with a staff full of people who love him and his people - i.e., you.
In August, I plan to offer a four-part series on Jonah. I'm excited about this series. Jonah is a great book, full of satire about people who dare say, "No!" when God says, "Go!" I don't know about you, but that sounds a lot like me! With much prayer and study, I've written it to be very practical. I pray God's Spirit uses it to encourage and equip you.
Don't forget about the many great things we have coming up - Church Work Day, Family Skate Night, Fall Kick-Off Luncheon, Wednesdays at Willow, Men's Fellowship Dinner, Women's Bunko Night and Escapade, and more! You can learn about all of them here on our website.
