Daily Update - March 19, 2020

Every evening, we aim to provide a daily update regarding the ministry of Willow Creek Church during this unexpected season. Here is an important update for you.

For the past several years, we've benefitted from Laurel Schmick's leadership as our Nursery Director. As she embarks on a plan to educate her children at home, she'll be stepping away from that role at the end of this month.

We cannot thank Laurel enough for her kind and faithful service, as well as the Schmick family's continued part in the story of our Willow Creek Church family. When Willow Creek Church resumes normal operations, we will take time to honor and thank Laurel and Kevin and their family on a Sunday morning.

In the meantime, we're excited to announce Martha Buot will begin her tenure as our Interim Nursery Director when we resume normal operations.

Martha has been a part of the Willow Creek Church Family since she relocated from Phoenix in 2014. She looks forward to coming alongside the parents of our youngest church members to help provide a loving, safe environment in our nurseries. She holds an associate's degree in Health Information Technology, although she currently works in the financial industry.

Martha has served in a volunteer capacity in nursery ministry both in Phoenix and at Willow Creek. She has two teenage daughters who are active in our student ministry, Zoe and Bella, and the trio enjoy impromptu picnics, riding their bikes around Casselberry and making crafts together.

With big thanks to Laurel and a warm welcome to Martha, we're thankful for this smooth transition in nursery leadership.

Grace and peace,

Kevin Labby, Senior Pastor
Willow Creek Presbyterian Church
