End-of-Summer Financial Update

We hope you and your family are well and enjoying a relaxing summer before the fall season starts with its hectic schedule. We are excited to kick off Back to School with our Wednesday@Willow program starting on August 21st and we hope to see many of you there! Willow Creek is our home and we are very blessed that God has placed us here in this community to be a light and servant to those He brings to our doors and into our lives. Let’s make an impact on the community around us by demonstrating God’s love to all we meet. W@W is a great time to invite someone to hear and learn about Jesus in a relaxing atmosphere.

This is also a great time to let you know that we are half way through the year and are also more than half way to our budget goal for total giving of $1,600,000 for 2019! Thank you so much for your generosity and sacrificial giving.

By the fruit of your generosity, we were able to impact kids for Jesus in our community by providing ministry for:

  • 200 children and their families through our Vacation Bible School
  • 40 children and their families participating in our out-reach ministry to Casselberry Elementary
  • 100+ kids in our youth and children’s ministry programs
  • 130 children in our preschool program. We are also very proud of Sandy Scholl, our Preschool Director and 2019 Orlando Woman of the Year.
  • 200 children participate in our Awana every Friday night

Please continue to give generously and sacrificially. Just giving 1% more will make a huge difference in the lives we can impact for Jesus. There are many ways to give including the offering plate during service, online giving through the Willow Creek Church website or phone app, as well as texting GIVEWILLOWCREEK to 77977. You can also select Willow Creek Church from the Amazon.com charity list and AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible smile.amazon.com purchases to Willow Creek. For those that are able to give stocks we encourage you to take advantage of donating appreciated stock before capital gains taxes are withheld while retaining the full benefit of a Federal Tax deduction. Several members have donated stock taking advantage of the tax benefit while making a positive impact on our budget and ultimately the ministries we support.

While we are thrilled that the giving here at Willow Creek demonstrates an attitude of love and obedience to God, we do not want to be lukewarm in our hearts and allow the momentum we have gained this first half of the year fall away. Please be in prayer how you can give, serve and worship well here at Willow Creek. God has you here for a reason, make it count. Bring a friend or neighbor to church with you for worship, invite someone to a bible study, serve others in any way God has gifted you and let’s see what His plans for Willow Creek, our home, will be.

With you in Christ,

Willow Creek Church Leadership

Hebrews 13:16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
