Member Highlight: Ray & Kim Kirby

Ray & Kim Kirby are two of the most kind-hearted folks at Willow Creek Church. From their hearts of service, to their love of their family and church family, the Kirby's have demonstrated God's love year after year.

The Kirby's have 3 adult children whom they are extremely proud of (Tyler, Mackenzie, Trey). Ray, a ruling elder at WCC, has been on the frontlines of helping make important decisions for the church. As an insurance agent for Allstate, Ray brings a lot of liability and assessment knowledge to the elder meetings, as well as many years of experience, having served with founding Pastor Pete Alwinson, as well as Pastor Kevin Labby.

In addition to Ray's leadership, Ray also serves the church in various ways. You will regularly see him serving as an usher, greeter, and elementary children's worship teacher. When I served as the children's director years ago, it was Ray who volunteered to teach the 4th-5th grade boys Sunday School class (which you might expect would normally prove to be a challenge.) Ray has a heart for the Lord, his family, his church, and the Florida Gators.

Kim has been involved in many aspects of Willow Creek Church serving in women's ministry and with children. My favorite memory of Kim is seeing her be a wonderful friend and mentor to Becky. They (along with WCC member Kelly Hinkle), attended a Garth Brooks conert at The Barn in Sanford, where only a handful of people were able to obtain access. Kim, Becky, and Kelly were allowed entrance, and made wonderful memories together.

Please take a moment and thank Ray & Kim Kirby for being such faithful members! We love ya'll at Willow Creek Church!
