Bev Downward

We LOVE Bev Downward at Willow Creek Church! Bev, along with her husband James, and their 3 children... Danny, Shelley, & David have been faithful members of our church for many years. Now that Danny & Shelley are grown up and out of the home, it's fun to see Bev serve and engage in the church in her life's next chapter.

Bev has always had a heart for children. She is one of our favorite Awana leaders, and spends much time training leaders, as well as investing in children, encouraging them to learn God's word. A few years ago, when Bev was unable to serve due to cancer treatments, she wrote letters and made calls to EVERY child who attended Awana.

I've seen Bev teach children's Sunday School, facilitate an adult small group with her husband James, and speak at women's events. Bev has a passion for God's word, and it is clearly evidenced in the way in which she lives her life that the Bible has settled deep into her heart.

Living just a few streets over from the Downward's in Casselberry, one of my favorite experiences is seeing her and David ride a bicycle or scooter over to our house, where David can show us his dog, and we can show him our dog. Bev loves being outside, and is regularly found out and about in the community, speaking with folks. For a profession, Bev is a teacher, and has a specific interest in indivdiuals with disabilities.

Bev and the Downward family are a true blessing to Willow Creek Church. Would you please take a moment to thank my friend, Bev Downward, for her love and service to our God and His church. We love you Bev!
