UPDATE (July 8, 2020): Given a recent increase in infection rates throughout Seminole County, we made the difficult decision to again suspend all in-person worship and ministry gatherings until Sunday, July 26. Until then or beyond, please join us for worship on Sunday mornings via Facebook Live (10:00 am), our YouTube channel, this website, and our free ministry app (Google Play or App Store).

We now require masks or other facial coverings while on Willow Creek facilities and grounds.

If you would like to give to help maintain the ministry of Willow Creek during this time, text GIVEWILLOWCREEK to 77977 (standard data and messaging rates apply) or visit our

WCC Children's Ministry Spotlight: Mike Haas

We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.

Mike Haas is a face you have surely seen around Willow Creek Church. Over the past 7 years, Mike has faithfully attended WCC with his wife Gwen and children Matthew (8th grade) & Megan (4th grade).

Mike has served in a wide variety of capacities including children's ministry, usher, greeter, finance team, and now a deacon. He is very accomplished in the financial world as the VP of investments for Raymond James Financial. This has been extremely helpful to WCC, particularly during our church's capital debt-reduction campaign, in which Mike played an extremely vital role in organizing and communicating how and what a person is able to give.

I have seen Mike's love of teaching children come through in how he manages our 2nd-3rd grade Sunday School class. With a mixture of quick wit, encouragement, and silliness, Mike is able to manage and keep the attention of our kids as he communicates God's love and truth on Sunday mornings.

Another aspect of church connection that many may not know about is Mike's willingness to reach out into our community and other communities. He has recently joined our "Side by Side" ministry, a ministry designed to care and serve children who are from single parent homes. Mike's presence as a loving, godly man is extremely impactful to our kids. Additionally, Mike has participated in 2 mission trips to Montgomery, Alabama to serve alongside a WCC partner ministry, Common Ground Montgomery. While there, Mike and his son Matthew served in summer camp, house construction and community development.

We are so proud to have a man who loves God, his family, his church, and his community so well. It is going to be awesome to see how God will use Mike over the next years and what kind of lasting impact he will have at Willow Creek Church and in Central Florida. Thank you so much Mike Haas for getting connected with our children's ministry and our church. We love you!
