WCC Children's Ministry Spotlight: David & Nicole King

We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.

David & Nicole King are 2 of our more fantastic children's ministry team members! This couple has a heart for children, and since they joined the church in 2013, they have invested themselves, and their children, Logan & Madison, in our children's ministry.

Both David & Nicole serve in the teaching profession as careers. With this background, both serve as excellent children's ministry team members, and it has been a joy to watch them grow and thrive in their roles. David has served as an elementary Sunday School teacher for our Kindergarten-1st grade students at 9am. Nicole loves participating in Vacation Bible School with several other young moms, and both of their children (now in JHi SWITCH ministry), also serve our youngest kids well.

The thing I enjoy most about this couple is their heart for serving Willow Creek Church. David, in one conversation with me, shared that he and Nicole see their ability to serve the church as their primary function to helping Willow Creek Church grow. In addition to children's ministry, David also serves on our Walking Tall Security Team, you'll often seen him greeting members and friends of WCC on Sunday mornings.

This family is truly a joy to serve alongside. I have seen the growth of Logan & Madison as they have moved up from our children's ministry and into our youth ministry with Pastor Kent. I have seen David & Nicole invest themselves in closer relationships with WCC members and have grown in their own faith with Jesus Christ. Ultimately, the King family knows who their true "King" is. Thank you King family, for your faithful service to our children's ministry and to WCC! You are loved.
