WCC Children's Ministry Spotlight: Andrea & Nora Sherwood

We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.

Andrea & Nora Sherwood are a dynamic mother and daughter team who serve faithfully in our children's ministry. The Sherwood family, which consists of Eric, Andrea, and their 3 children Alexis, Nora, and Josh, joined Willow Creek Church approximately 18 months ago, having recently moved from Colorado. Since joining WCC, Andrea and Nora have served our children in a variety of ways.

Andrea has a variety of gifts including being a creative person. She has graciously stepped in to lead our craft time during IGNITE, our Wednesday night children's ministry. The kids love Mrs. Andrea, and she has been outstanding with both executing the crafts and supplementing the teaching of the Bible lesson. I look forward to giving Andrea more opportunities to use her creative gifting for the glory of  God.

Nora joined our ministry as a junior in high school, where she served as a volunteer during the Sunday morning Sunday School hour. As Nora has become more comfortable in our ministry, she has demonstrated a wide array of gifting including teaching, compassion, and fun with our children of various ages. My best memory of Nora is when she stepped in and calmed down a young child who was throwing a tantrum, and was even able to get the child back engaged with the activity that was going on. I can definitely confirm that Nora is called by God to be a school teacher one day.

It has been a joy to get to know the Sherwood family, and I am honored to call Andrea and Nora friends. God is using both of these ladies in a major way at WCC, and we are so blessed to have these 2 godly women in our children's ministry. Thank you so much for your service, your care, and your hearts for our God and our children. You are loved.
