WCC Children's Ministry Spotlight: Joanna Diemer & Angie Parker

We have so many outstanding people who volunteer in our children's ministry. We feel it is important to highlight a few of them.

Joanna Diemer and Angie Parker are sister-in-laws who also "lay down the law" when it comes to teaching in our children's ministry. These 2 wonderful ladies love God's word, understand his grace, and generously volunteer their time 2 Sunday's a month to teach our children during the Sunday School hour.

Joanna is married to Matt (a member of the Willow Creek Church softball team and brother of Angie), and they have 2 children, son Alec a high school graduate of the SWITCH youth ministry and daughter Sarah, a current member of SWITCH. Joanna has been serving in our children's ministry for 3 years, and the Diemer family have been attending Willow Creek for 5 years.

Angie is married to Nick, and their children are Jack and Katie, a 5th grader and 1st grader who participate in the children's ministry. The Parkers have been attending Willow Creek since 2013, and Angie has served in the children's ministry for almost 18 months.

Both ladies have an amazing presence in the classroom, Joanna with 4th-5th graders, and Angie with Kindergarten-1st graders. They bring lots of energy, a great imagination, and I am constantly amazed to peek my head in and watch the kids enthralled with these 2 women as they make the Bible come alive and cause our children to really think about their own faith.

I am so excited to have watched the Diemer children grow, and now have the opportunity to serve and teach the Parker kids! God is using both of these families in a major way at WCC, and we are so blessed to have these 2 godly women in our children's ministry. Thank you so much for your service, your care, and your hearts for our God and our children. You are loved.
